The Original No. 316 Car
That's our No. 316 car pictured above back in her heyday as part of the Dallas, Texas Electric Car Company in 1939. She carried passengers around Dallas on their electric Interurban lines for close to 20 years before retiring. Full history »

Vintage Restoration
We found the No. 316 car forgotten and in need of some serious TLC. Bay Creek Resort and Club invested handsomely to bring back the elegance and beauty that was once the pride of the 316 car. It is now outfitted with a brand new engine, air conditioning, restroom, completely new interior, kitchen, sound system, and sparkling stained glass to compliment the vintage appeal inside the car.

General Information
We operate trips on the No. 316 car that leave and return to Historic Cape Charles, Virginia. An excursion is typically one or two hours long. Tables are set for 2 or 4 passengers, with window views from every table. Modern conveniences like air conditioning & heating and restrooms have been installed for our passenger's comfort.

The Dining Excursion Experience
Passengers are served their gourmet meal in courses by uniformed waitstaff at individually illuminated tables in order to capture the experience of personal service and elegance that made dining on the rails so special back in the early 1900's. We accept credit cards onboard for incidentals, and welcome special requests such as champagne, wine, or special dietary needs.
